Job overview

We are seeking a results-oriented and proactive business development manager to join our TWG Sales Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and driving business growth. You will collaborate with internal teams to understand the company’s offerings and align strategies to target key wheel and tire market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility of this role is new account pursuit. This role will also support growth and development of existing key accounts in collaboration with our account teams.
  • Opportunity identification. Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, and trends.
  • Customer relationship management. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their business needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline with discipline around moving larger opportunities through our sales process: prospect, qualify, propose, negotiate, close.
  • Strategic self planning. Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue, expand market presence, and achieve business goals for your territory.
  • Sales strategy. Work closely with the area sales team and sales peers to develop and execute strategies that drive business development and achieve sales targets.
  • Partnership development. Identify and cultivate partnerships with other companies to expand the company’s reach and capabilities.
  • Reporting and analysis. Regularly review and report on business development activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Generating leads, making value derived sales calls, and meeting with customers (potentially multiple customers in 1 day)

Qualifications

In order to be considered, there are certain qualifications we’d like to see in our candidates:

  • Proven experience as a business development manager or in a similar role calling on new business prospects.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, business strategy, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to develop and execute business strategies that align with company goals.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, market analysis tools, and business development platforms.
  • A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to travel regionally, territory will require some overnight travel (up to 50%).

  • Experience in developing strategic partnerships and alliances.
