What You'll Do:
Telecom Consultant
  • Execute established engineering deliverables to support installation, configuration, and turn-up of DWDM, IP/MPLS, SONET, Carrier Ethernet, and Microwave transport systems.
  • Assist with transport network design activities by applying standard engineering practices under guidance from senior staff; escalate design issues and deviations as identified.
  • Support coordination with project management, design, traffic engineering, protection/controls, and operations teams to address project tasks and track identified risks.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and network records for deployed transport infrastructure in accordance with established standards and processes.
  • Support project handoffs by compiling and organizing required design packages, materials information, and implementation details to ensure readiness for execution.
  • Participate in vendor interactions as needed to support project execution and issue tracking.

Telecom Consultant Senior
  • Develop and refine engineering deliverables to support installation, configuration, and turn-up of DWDM, IP/MPLS, SONET, Carrier Ethernet, and Microwave transport systems.
  • Contribute to transport network design and architecture by applying engineering principles across optical, packet, and microwave platforms; independently resolve routine issues and escalate complex challenges.
  • Coordinate across project management, design, traffic engineering, protection/controls, and operations teams to proactively identify risks and support successful execution of transport solutions.
  • Validate that engineering documentation and network records accurately reflect deployed transport infrastructure to ensure operational integrity and long-term maintainability.
  • Facilitate project handoffs by ensuring transport designs, bills of material, and implementation details are complete, accurate, and clearly communicated to field and operations teams.
  • Engage with vendors to support solution development, technical alignment, and issue resolution.

What We're Looking For:
Telecommunication Consultant SG7
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study
  • Or associate's degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required.

Experience:
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in addition to any experience mentioned above.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License is Required.

Telecommunication Consultant Senior SG8
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study
  • OR associate's degree in field mentioned above with two (2) years of relevant work experience
  • OR HS diploma/GED with four (4) years of relevant work experience required.

Experience:
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience in addition to any experience mentioned above.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License Required.

In addition:
  • Possess intermediate level knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles.
  • Demonstrate competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle assignments of moderate complexity. (e.g., by dividing the problem into component steps, and performing the necessary analysis to complete each step. Exhibit understanding for pertinent telecom equipment, materials, systems and business processes. Exhibit ability to understand interrelationships between systems and component equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes Collaborate with others within the work group, department, or other corporate entity as necessary to complete routine activities Provide cross-training to other employees as assigned Initiate corrective action when project objectives are not being met Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate the ability to extrapolate beyond known facts to reach logical conclusions.
