Responsibilities
About the Team Teen Experience team is under the umbrella of TikTok Safety Product, and dedicated to building safe, compliant and positive product experiences for global users across the platform. The team works closely with cross-functional partners including Safety, Policy, Legal and Machine Learning to translate evolving safety and regulatory requirements into scalable product solutions. Key areas include age-appropriate experiences, privacy and safety settings, content recommendation, and platform-level product strategies, with a focus on supporting TikTok's evolving global safety and compliance needs. As a Project Intern, you will contribute to impactful short-term projects and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. This internship offers the opportunity to develop practical skills, apply your knowledge to real-world challenges, and explore your career interests. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early. Responsibilities - Support day-to-day operations related to platform safety and content governance, including content review, risk identification, and enforcement-related workflows. - Assist in maintaining and improving review-quality processes, including review guidelines, workflows, quality checks, metric tracking, and basic data analysis. - Monitor key operational metrics and risk trends, support Root-Cause Analysis (RCA), and help identify opportunities to improve review quality and operational processes. - Support the development and optimization of SOPs, escalation processes, AI model training and evaluation solutions , and quality-assessment mechanisms. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Algorithm, Engineering, Data Science, Policy, Ops and Global Operations to support safety-related tools, workflows, and projects. - Assist with key-market and cross-regional initiatives to ensure operational processes are aligned with platform policies and relevant compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with an interest in product operations, operational strategy, content governance, Trust & Safety, or related areas. - Good analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to identify issues and support operational improvements. - Good project execution and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams. - Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is needed to partner with stakeholders in China market. Preferred Qualifications - Prior internship, project, or research experience with technology platforms, social media companies, or global internet businesses. - Familiarity with automation tools, AI-assisted moderation solutions, data analysis tools, or workflow-management systems. - Experience working on cross-functional, cross-regional, or multi-market projects. - Long-term interest in platform safety, emerging technologies, and global digital ecosystems. - Exposure to Trust & Safety areas such as CSAM mitigation, content governance, platform safety, content moderation, review quality, age-related safety, or risk operations. - Familiarity with or strong interest in platform/product safety, content governance, review quality, risk management, or related operational scenarios.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $25- $25.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
