About the Role:
North Georgia Angel House Inc is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Overnight Teen Girl Direct Care Worker to join our team in Canton, GA. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of teenage girls by providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing overnight environment. Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision and overnight care for teenage girls in a residential setting
  • General cleaning of common areas
  • Administer Medication
  • Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all residents throughout the overnight shift
  • Respond to resident needs, concerns, and crisis situations with calm and professionalism
  • Enforce house rules, routines, and behavioral guidelines in a consistent and compassionate manner
  • Document incidents, behaviors, and observations accurately in resident logs and reports
  • Conduct regular room checks and monitor the facility throughout the night
  • Collaborate with day staff and supervisors to ensure continuity of care during shift transitions
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in youth care, residential care, or a related human services role preferred
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout overnight shifts
  • Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
  • Genuine empathy and patience when working with at-risk or trauma-affected youth
  • Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
