Description

Position: School Aged Child Care, Lead Staff, at the Kids Club (Boys & Girls Club of Worcester) located at 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA.


Part time, Monday-Friday, 2pm-6pm.


As required by EEC licensing, all applicants must be at least 21 years old.


Program Staff will assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 5 -13. Additional responsibilities include complying with EEC regulations.

This position is a part time year-round position. The School Age Child Care program staff person must have reliable transportation. Hours of operating are Monday - Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm, excluding school vacation weeks and summer break. This is an excellent entry level position for a motivated individual who is interested in working with youth.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform light cleaning and assume other duties as assigned.
  • Consistently work on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time, be physically active.

Additionally, if the holiday falls on a weekend day, we will be closed the Friday or Monday closest to the holiday.


Requirements

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. (per EEC regulations)

Preferred but not required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university,

Preferred but not required: One year experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.

  • Confidence in providing academic support, as needed, to members.
  • Competency in navigating remote learning tools, technology equipment and modes of instruction.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Communication skills: Informing, Listening, Writing
  • CPR and First Aid certifications, preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish & English) but not required.

All applicants will be required to pass a criminal offender record information check (CORI), a national background check and will need to be fingerprinted in accordance with EEC regulations.
