Job Description

Pay: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time; includes evenings and weekends as needed
What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service at the circulation desk
- Assist patrons with technology, research, and library resources
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate programs and activities for teens and young adults
- Promote and market library services, resources, and events
- Provide readers' advisory services and recommend materials
- Assist with collection development and maintenance
- Troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software issues
- Maintain records and statistics within the integrated library system
- Create publications, promotional materials, and website content
- Conduct community outreach and build partnerships that support library services
- Supervise and provide guidance to library assistants during evening and weekend hours
- Assist with administrative duties including reports, correspondence, and departmental records
- Support library operations and provide backup assistance as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Education, Humanities, Library Science, or a related field
- One to three years of public library, technical services, circulation, customer service, or related experience preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience working with teens and young adults is highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Library Science (MLS)
- North Dakota Library Media Certification (LM03)
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, and reaching
