U.S. Bank is looking for aTechnology Strategy Consultantto help shape enterprisewide technology direction and influence how technology supports business priorities across the bank. This role sits within theTechnology Strategy & Transformationorganization and is designed for asenior strategy practitionerwho operates autonomously, excels in research and synthesis, and communicates with confidence and clarity at the executive level.

This role is intentionallystrategyfirst and advisory in nature, serving as a key contributor to enterprise technology strategy through researchdriven insights and executiveready viewpoints. The individual operates upstream of implementation, partnering closely with executivelevel technology leaders and senior stakeholders to shape and communicate technology strategy, translate complex and ambiguous inputs into clear strategic narratives, and connect enterprise priorities to technology direction-without owning delivery, program management, or daytoday execution.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as atrusted technology strategy advisorto executivelevel technology leaders and senior stakeholders.

  • Independently research, gather, and synthesize internal and external information onemerging technologies, industry trends, peer activity, and strategic threats.

  • Translate complex, multisource inputs intoclear insights, strategic viewpoints, and executiveready narrativesin real time.

  • Buildmodels, frameworks, and storytelling artifactsthat connect technology capabilities to business outcomes and enterprise strategy.

  • Partner with leaders across the organization to shape and refineenterprise technology strategy, operating with minimal oversight.

  • Support alignment between enterprise strategy, technology strategy, and downstream execution teams,without owning execution.

  • Contribute toboardlevel and executive strategy materials, including quarterly and semiannual updates.

  • Maintain a strong foundational understanding of modern technologies and how they interconnect,without acting as a handson architect or coder.

  • Demonstrate strong executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability toinfluence effectively in live executive discussions.

MustHave Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant, progressive experience.

  • Strong consulting or internal strategy background with demonstrated experience operating inambiguous, seniorstakeholder environments.

  • Experience in, or deep exposure to,financial services or large, complex, regulated enterprises.

  • Proven ability toadvise senior leaders on technology strategy, not manage programs, delivery, or implementation.

  • Demonstrated strength inrealtime synthesis, executive storytelling, and onthespot strategic communication.

  • Strong understanding of modern technology concepts and how technologies interconnect at an enterprise level.

  • Ability to independently research, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources into clear strategic recommendations.

  • Excellent executive communication skills with a confident, polished executive presence.

  • Ability to build credibility quickly andoperate autonomously with limited coaching or structure.

  • Forwardlooking, researchdriven mindset with strong judgment and intellectual curiosity.

Preferred Skills

  • Business architecture experience or certification.

  • Experience aligning business capabilities to enterprise or technology strategy.

  • Comfort using data to support strategic storytelling (e.g., Power BI or similar tools).

  • Prior experience supportingboardlevel or executivecommitteelevelstrategy discussions and materials.

  • Experience contributing toenterpriselevel longterm strategy, roadmaps, or multiyear planning efforts.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
