Key Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with IT Management and business stakeholders to plan, forecast and report both IT operating costs and IT project costs
  • Ensure proper processes are in place to track both IT operating and IT project costs
  • Provide decision support to IT management through routine actionable reports and as needed ad-hoc analysis
  • Coordinate, complete and review each period end close process and meet each post-closing reporting cycle requirements, including variance analysis for both operating and capital budgets
  • Prepare & present to Management period/quarterly results and forecasts
  • Coordinate, prepare and compile the annual operating plan budget for IT Operating Expenses and annual IT Capital Budget
  • Facilitate and lead approval of Capital Expenditure Requests ("CER"), SOWs, invoices, etc.
  • Develop business cases for sunsetting and replacement of software and hardware
  • Take high level direction and work independently to drive execution of department goals
  • Coordinate with GSF financial analysts/staff accountants in completion of duties to close books and ensure accurate projections and forecasts
  • Work with IT leadership to establish and monitor KPI's and spend by vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience
Education/Certification:
  • BA/BS from an accredited university, preferably with a degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 5+ years of financial/accounting experience
  • Broad understanding of core financial processes and internal control concept
  • Strong relationship development skills and orientation towards teamwork
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills (must be effective at asking questions, gathering facts and analyzing information)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Advance Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Comfort with exercising judgment and making decisions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

Preferred qualifications include:
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Systems related experience
  • Project management education or experience
  • Process improvement and/or system implementation experience
