Travel: Up to 25%
Position Summary
Whelen Engineering is looking to hire 3 Technology Implementation Specialists who will be responsible for Leading implementation, onboarding, configuration, training, and ongoing technical success of Whelen Cloud Platform (WCP) and Core+ customers. Serves as the primary technical resource for customers, installers, distributors, Field Solution Engineers, and Authorized Manufacturer Sales Representatives (AMSRs) to ensure successful deployment and adoption of connected vehicle technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead customer onboarding, deployment planning, and implementation activities following project handoff.
  • Configure customer environments, user permissions, vehicle groups, connected services, and Core+ automation features.
  • Validate installations, connectivity, firmware, workflows, and overall system performance.
  • Deliver administrator, installer, and end-user training for WCP, Core+, VSG, and related technologies.
  • Partner with AMSRs, distributors, installers, and customer stakeholders to support implementation, adoption, and long-term success.
  • Provide technical guidance, demonstrations, onboarding assistance, troubleshooting, and post-deployment support.
  • Serve as a technical escalation resource and trusted advisor while supporting customer retention and platform growth.

Success MeasuresSuccessful deployments, high customer adoption and satisfaction, effective training outcomes, reduced support escalations, strong AMSR/distributor collaboration, and increased utilization of WCP and Core+ solutions.
Role MissionEnsure customers successfully transition from purchase to operational success by delivering exceptional implementation services, technical expertise, and ongoing support that improve fleet visibility, operational efficiency, connected vehicle capabilities, and first responder safety.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in technical implementation, customer success, fleet technology, vehicle electronics, systems support, or related fields.
Strong customer-facing, troubleshooting, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with public safety technology, connected vehicle solutions, telematics, fleet management platforms, vehicle electronics, GPS/cellular communications, Whelen Core, Core+, VSG, or WCP.
