Job description

Property Management Associates is seeking an IT Assistant to support our operations across multiple residential and commercial communities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IT principles and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems. The IT Assistant will provide technical assistance to our staff, install and configure hardware and software, and maintain our computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • You will report to the IT Director
  • We’re looking for an IT Assistant to help get the most value from Yardi’s property management software solutions for our staff.
  • Enjoy a continuous journey of learning as you master Yardi’s software.
  • In this role, you’ll combine your technical aptitude and communication skills to support staff through software setup, troubleshooting, and day-to-day use.
  • Whether it's answering a quick question or resolving a challenge, you'll help staff have smooth, successful experience.
  • You’ll build expertise in how Yardi’s software supports every stage of the renter’s journey and equips property managers with the tools for financial reporting, leasing, maintenance, and more.
  • As part of a collaborative team, you’ll work closely with staff and internal departments to deliver high-quality, solution-focused support.
  • Provide technical software support, set-up, and implementation guidance for staff across a suite of products, delivering assistance via email and phone.
  • Utilize your problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot application issues, overcome challenges, and deliver effective solutions.
  • In this role, you’ll deliver training in all shapes and sizes—live webinars, face-to-face sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
  • You’ll create course content, answer questions, and make sure everything runs smoothly and on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, or related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hands-on experience with technical support and application troubleshooting
  • A quick learner who embraces new tools, technologies, and concepts
  • Naturally organized and able to prioritize tasks with clarity and confidence.
  • Familiarity with property management software, particularly Yardi Voyager, is a plus.
  • Comfortable providing live support via phone and email, confidently troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Ability to positively and effectively interact with others and the ability to teach others.
  • People focused, with the ability to build rapport.
