Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Summary:
The Resident Technology Assistant is responsible for supporting and maintaining in-house technology equipment and IT assets at the community level, and for assisting residents with a range of personal technologies, including computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, smart speakers, and smart home devices.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist and/or train residents to use technology applications and programs, including, but not limited to, computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, TVs, remotes, cable boxes, streaming services, smart home devices, etc.
  • Explain technology easily in one-on-one, small, and large group situations.
  • Support the Resident Technology Committee as needed, including FP innovation projects and coordinating and/or delivering resident technology training and education programs as requested.
  • Provide education and awareness to residents on protecting themselves from cybersecurity or telephone scams.
  • Make recommendations regarding needed updates or improvements to achieve resident satisfaction.
  • Assist the Environmental Services department with general maintenance duties, such as replacing batteries, lightbulbs, and ink cartridges, and other light repair work.
  • Record type, frequency, and other tech problems and generate reports to identify areas of resident or staff training.
  • Assist other departments in setting up meetings, troubleshooting audio and visual connectivity, and other tech issues.
  • Collaborate with Life Enrichment and Human Resources on media projects and employee relations events.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Vocational/Tech/Trade School in computer operations or 1 year of related work experience
Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

* 1 Year understanding and knowledge about Windows, Apple OS, Apple IOS, Android
NonEssential:
* 1 Year working in IT in an assisted living setting
