I'm hiring a Technical Writer Intern on my team at Flexera, and I'd love to see someone from the technical communication community land this role! This internship focuses on improving knowledge base content quality within a knowledge management team. You'll be editing real knowledge base articles, applying a corporate style guide, and using AIโ€assisted tools to make content clearer and more usable.

It's a great fit for someone who enjoys writing for users, working with structured content, and making complex information easier to understand. I'm ideally looking for a current student in a technical communication program, a recent graduate, or someone in a closely related field. Fully remote (U.S.-based) $20/hour + $2,500 signโ€on bonus Full time for 8 weeks Plus you get direct mentorship from me.

About the Role We are seeking a Technical Writer Intern to join our Knowledge Management team. In this role, you will help edit and refine knowledge base articles to ensure they are clear, concise, and aligned with the Flexera Knowledge Base Style Guide. You will leverage both our internal style guide and an AIโ€powered editing tool to produce highโ€quality, customerโ€facing content that improves the user experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about technical communication, content quality, and learning how to apply style standards in a realโ€world environment. Core Responsibilities Edit and format knowledge base articles to ensure compliance with the Flexera Knowledge Base Style Guide. Use an AI agent to assist in rewriting and improving article clarity, tone, and structure.

Ensure all articles follow approved templates and maintain consistency in terminology, grammar, and branding. Collaborate with subject matter experts and the knowledge management team to clarify technical details when needed. Review and validate AIโ€generated edits for accuracy and adherence to style guidelines.

Track and document edits in the content management system. Required Skills and Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Technical Communication, English, Professional Writing, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with style guides. Ability to understand and simplify technical concepts for a nonโ€technical audience. Comfortable using AI tools and learning new technologies.

Excellent organizational and timeโ€management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with knowledge base platforms or content management systems. Basic understanding of APIs, SaaS products, or IT terminology.

Interest in UX writing and content strategy. What You'll Gain Handsโ€on experience applying a corporate style guide to realโ€world content. Exposure to AIโ€assisted content editing workflows.
