Aquatech has an immediate opening for a full-time Financial Systems Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a Hybrid position and will report to the Director, Financial Systems. This role will lead finance transformation initiatives, finance system implementations, ERP improvements, process standardization, testing, training, and post-go-live support. This position may require up to 25% of domestic and international travel and will be considered an exempt employee.
Job Description:
  • Manage finance systems implementations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives across ERP and adjacent financial platforms.
  • Lead finance transformation initiatives focused on improving efficiency, standardization, controls, reporting, and scalability across finance and accounting processes.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate manual, fragmented, or inconsistent processes.
  • Lead transformation efforts across month-end close, account reconciliations, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and project accounting processes.
  • Evaluate process gaps between current business practices and ERP/system capabilities, and recommend scalable solutions aligned with operational and business needs.
  • Own change management activities, including stakeholder alignment, communication planning, user readiness, training strategy, adoption tracking, and post-implementation support.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of process documentation, standard operating procedures, control documentation, system workflows, and training materials for new or enhanced finance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Accounting, IT, Operations, and external implementation partners to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with sustainable adoption.
  • Establish project governance, clarify ownership, track risks and dependencies, and escalate issues appropriately to support successful execution.
  • Support prioritization of the financial systems roadmap and help align ongoing enhancements with strategic finance and business objectives.

Physical Job Demands:

Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, financial systems, business systems, process improvement, consulting, or finance transformation.
  • 3+ years of experience leading finance systems, ERP, or transformation projects, with demonstrated ownership of workstreams or end-to-end initiatives.
  • CPA, CMA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or relevant systems certification is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes such as general ledger, close, reporting, reconciliations, AP, AR, procurement, billing, budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting.
  • Hands-on or super user experience with ERP or financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with OneStream, Snowflake, Power BI, BlackLine, Coupa, Concur, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Experience leading or supporting system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, process improvement, reporting, or automation initiatives.
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements, document processes, identify control and process gaps, and partner with technical teams to deliver practical solutions.
  • Strong Excel, reporting, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
