MANTECH seeks a motivated and customer oriented technical leader to serve as a Technical Solutions Director to join our Defense Sector Growth team.
The Technical Solutions Director will primarily focus on the development of technical solutions and capabilities for proposals that solve our customers' hardest mission problems.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Lead development of the Technical Strategy and develop complex solutions to meet client needs
  • Facilitate interactions and collaboration with senior level client technical representatives. Business Unit leaders, Account Owners/Executives, Capture Managers, and Proposal staff
  • Provide technical insight across MANTECH within technical domains of expertise.
  • Analyzes new business opportunities and develops strategies to influence client technical requirements.
  • Provides technical briefings to senior client technical representatives to communicate the value of MANTECH's solution approach.
  • Oversees holistic solutions from both the business and technical perspective, considering all realities and constraints such as costs, contract terms, business conditions and the technical environment of the client.
  • Provides leadership and strategic guidance with pursuit teams during the solution development process to ensure alignment with overall MANTECH business strategy.
  • Analyzes customer hard problem sets and emerging technology needs and supports the development of MANTECH capabilities to meet these challenges through active participation in Internal Research and Development efforts.
  • Interfaces with industry, academia, and research centers to proactively identify emerging cloud technology and best practices that can be applied to client needs and to stay informed on new technology trends.
  • Developing technical content and solution concepts to support MANTECH growth objectives through the development of white papers, requests for information (RFI) responses, and proposal responses (both written and oral).

Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical area preferred with a minimum of 8 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with military service.
  • Technical expertise, understanding, and demonstrated success in developing technical solutions in the areas of Mission and Enterprise IT, Intelligent Systems Engineering, and/or Offensive and Defensive Cyber Operations.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, with the ability to create and execute strategies that lead to the successful pursuit, capture and execution of new programs.
  • Hands-on experience in solution development in capture and proposal environments and implementing solutions in ongoing programs, including delivery of the final product.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple government agencies including agencies within the Department of Defense.
  • Demonstrated capability in architecting, developing, and delivering large and complex solutions.
  • Develop strategic visionary plans for architecture, engineering, and integration.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to provide thought leadership and participation in Communities of Practice in the following areas: Mission and Enterprise IT, Intelligent Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering, Offensive and Defensive Cyber Operations, Information Warfare, Analytics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud.
  • Strong presence and demonstrated ability to build, extend and maintain senior client relationships

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $139,700.00-$250,700.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
