SUMMARY:
The Assistant Quality Manager will partner with Operations teams and collaborate with others within the organization to assist with the execution of quality management programs on our projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years' experience

  • Two (2) years' experience in construction operations, quality management or quality assurance roles

  • Experience in onsite operations a plus

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to follow departmental standards and accept technical direction

  • Demonstrated interest in technical skill development and continued learning

TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:
  • Assists with the implementation of quality management programs on assigned projects, tracks open items for follow-up

  • Familiar with expectations for projects and ability to identify and communicate when expectations are not being met

  • Assists project teams in project kick-off efforts for assigned projects to identify risk and ensure roles and responsibilities related to quality focused tasks are assigned to appropriate team members

  • Identifies alternative project quality control methods proposed by teams and reviews with manager to ensure they meet company and project expectations

  • Participates in various project meetings to support with quality focused content

  • Assists operations staff with trade partner's onboarding and planning for quality on assigned projects, uses manager for support; identifies when quality plans are not followed

  • Understands and can direct teams towards resources for technical assistance in correcting deficiencies and ensuring project standards are met

  • Supports project team members in the use of DAVIS inspection templates; assists with preparation of project specific inspection templates as needed

  • Assists with preparation or supports project team in preparing quality focused documents for use in trade coordination, field implementation, and field quality control

  • Supports operations staff with the RFI process, formulating comprehensive questions and ensuring proper documentation

  • Understands and applies knowledge of contract documents and working drawings; navigates various submittal types for pertinent information

  • Maintains and organizes QA/QC documentation; assists project teams as necessary

  • Assists in investigations of quality issues to determine underlying causes

  • Works with Quality department and Learning + Development department to create and deliver formal courses as necessary

  • Utilizes software such as the project management platform; able to teach project team members and trade partners in expected use of program; understands project settings to assist teams with effective use

  • Visits project sites frequently and attends meetings to oversee project progress and address issues

The base salary (or hourly) range for this position is
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00
