Manager - Quality

SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the implementation of quality programs, policies, and procedures from a functional or technical perspective for a single site or multiple sites within a region or division. Provides guidance to management on quality-related matters, including performance, regulatory compliance, and data quality and usability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, development, engagement, performance evaluation, compensation recommendations, and performance management.
  • Implement and manage quality processes, audits, and continuous improvement programs; align leadership and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide input on the development and improvement of policies and procedures for assigned areas.
  • Advise leadership on improvements to quality-related policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate communication on customer and business needs, and track performance metrics across all levels.
  • Resolve escalated, technical, or sensitive quality issues; collaborate with internal teams and external agencies as needed.
  • Manage departmental or functional budgets, including resource allocation and approval of expenditures.
  • Lead or participate in special projects by identifying priorities, coordinating activities, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of quality regulations, industry trends, and applicable laws.
  • Contribute to departmental effectiveness through continuous improvement and active team participation.
  • Promote and support Pace Analytical's mission through professional, cooperative interactions that foster a positive work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field; AND three (3) years of quality experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
