Overview:
Position: Technical Project Manager
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite 2 days/week)
Employment Type: Long Term Contract
Role Overview
Seeking a highly technical Project Manager to partner with the Architecture team and drive the successful delivery of complex technical initiatives. This individual will oversee intake, prioritization, and execution of architecture and platform requests, while also providing Agile coaching to development pods to enhance delivery effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage intake, tracking, and prioritization of architecture and platform requests
  • Collaborate with architects, lead developers, and DevOps teams to plan and execute technical initiatives
  • Ensure architecture approvals are completed prior to development
  • Lead delivery of architecture-driven projects including platform modernization, cloud migrations, security enhancements, and scalability improvements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years as a Technical Project Manager / Technical Program Manager or similar role
  • Strong technical foundation with hands-on understanding of software development and cloud architecture
  • Solid knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native design patterns

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior software development or engineering background
  • Experience in airline, travel, or transportation industries
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, data platforms, and CI/CD pipelines
