Technical Project Manager
Austin, TX / San Antonio, TX Area | Hybrid | 12+ Month Contract
Must live in the Austin or San Antonio area

iSphere is looking for a Technical Project Manager who can keep highly technical teams moving without needing to be the "smartest" engineer in the room. If you're the person who brings structure to organized chaos, keeps projects on track, and somehow gets developers, architects, business users, and leadership all rowing in the same direction, we'd like to talk.

This role supports a large-scale data engineering initiative that's helping drive AI adoption across the organization. You'll work with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business leaders to coordinate projects, remove roadblocks, manage priorities, and make sure deliverables don't get lost between planning and production.

This isn't a "run meetings and update a spreadsheet" project management role. You'll need enough technical knowledge to understand cloud platforms, data pipelines, analytics, and AI initiatives so you can ask the right questions, anticipate risks, and keep projects moving.

What they're really looking for:

• 10+ years leading technical projects in data, analytics, cloud, or enterprise IT environments
• Proven experience managing complex data engineering, data warehouse, or business intelligence initiatives
• Strong background managing project scope, budgets, timelines, resources, and executive reporting
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, vendors, and technical stakeholders
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise data environments
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools

• Current PMP certification is required and must be listed on your resume
