Position Type: 6-Month Contract
Reports To: Chief of Staff
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading complex technology initiatives, digital transformation projects, and cross-functional strategic initiatives across PA's platform, infrastructure, and AI/analytics capabilities. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, this role bridges the gap between technical teams and business leadership, ensuring successful delivery of mission-critical projects that drive member value and competitive advantage. This contract position provides strategic project oversight and execution support during a critical growth and transformation period.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partners with the Chief of Staff to identify, prioritize, and oversee strategic technical and cross-functional initiatives critical to company growth and transformation
  • Leads planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects from conception through production, managing scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation across multiple workstreams
  • Translates strategic business objectives into detailed technical project plans and execution roadmaps; serves as primary liaison between engineering teams, technology leadership, and the executive office
  • Manages cross-functional relationships with engineering, product, operations, business, and stakeholders to align priorities, dependencies, and success metrics
  • Provides executive visibility through regular project reviews, status updates, and strategic recommendations; identifies process improvements and organizational blockers
  • Identifies and escalates project risks, dependencies, and impediments to executive leadership; implements mitigation strategies and drives resolution
  • Ensures adherence to technical standards, security protocols, and governance frameworks across all project phases; coordinates compliance validation
  • Evaluates emerging technologies, AI implementations, and platform enhancements for strategic fit and business impact; manages related pilots and proof-of-concepts
  • Orchestrates security and compliance integration throughout project lifecycle; ensures cyber risk assessments and best practices are embedded in project execution
  • Manages multiple concurrent strategic initiatives; continuously reprioritizes work based on executive directives and shifting business needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field is required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent certification preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Technology Management, etc.) is a plus

Experience:
  • 6+ years of project management experience in technical environments, software development, infrastructure, or engineering is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive leadership and manage strategic initiatives at the organizational level
  • Experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies; ability to adapt approach based on initiative complexity
  • Demonstrated success managing technology implementations, migrations, platform launches, or digital transformation programs
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience with AI projects, data science initiatives, or analytics platform implementations
  • Understanding of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI, and related compliance/policy considerations
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and security-by-design implementation
  • Prior experience as a technical project manager, program manager, or technical consultant is strongly preferred
