Job description

  • This role is a great blend of process safety, maintenance, and compliance leadership. You'd be the go-to person for ensuring our safety and reliability programs are effective and continuously improving.
  • You'd oversee key process safety programs, including mechanical integrity, facility drawing updates, Management of Change (MOC), and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), making sure the site stays safe, compliant, and up to date.
  • A big part of the role is acting as a subject matter expert for MOC, managing changes through our electronic system and ensuring risks are properly assessed before implementation.
  • You'll lead and participate in root cause investigations when incidents or issues occur, helping identify improvements and prevent future recurrence.
  • On the maintenance side, you'd manage our maintenance systems (CMMS/EAM and Procal) and oversee compliance programs for critical equipment like pressure vessels and pressure relief devices.
  • You'll serve as a key link between corporate and site operations, communicating technical directives, supporting audits and assessments, and helping ensure our Canadian facilities meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Training and development are also important. You'll create and deliver training for operations teams on maintenance, compliance, and process safety programs while providing leadership and coaching to your direct reports.
  • Beyond day-to-day operations, you'll manage budgets for compliance and reliability initiatives and represent Canadian operations on global and regional teams, contributing to broader reliability and process safety improvements across the organization.
