Job Description:

Accurate Background is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Engineer to support and improve our global Microsoft ecosystem, identity platforms, endpoint management, and office infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining secure and scalable operational standards while leading technical projects, automation initiatives, and platform improvements across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical engineer with strong experience in Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint administration, infrastructure support, and operational process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and related Microsoft platforms.

  • Manage identity and access management, SSO, SCIM, Conditional Access, MFA, and user lifecycles.

  • Support Windows and MacOS endpoint environments, including provisioning, compliance, patching, and zero-touch deployment workflows.

  • Support and maintain office infrastructure including networks, servers, and conference room technologies.

  • Lead technical projects from planning through implementation and operational support transition.

  • Develop automation, documentation, SOPs, and operational standards to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Partner cross-functionally with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, and business stakeholders

  • Act as an L3 escalation resource for complex technical and operational incidents.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Operations, Systems Administration, or related IT Engineering roles

  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Experience with endpoint management, device compliance, and identity governance

  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and networking environments

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and project ownership skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JAMF, Defender, Purview, Cisco, and AWS

  • Experience supporting Zero Trust and security modernization initiatives

  • Familiarity with Jira service management and Confluence.

  • Relevant Microsoft or security certifications.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid position based in Irvine, California, requiring 2 days per week in the office.

  • Occasional after-hours support may be required for maintenance windows or incidents

  • This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Technical Operations

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 - $110,000. Pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education and training. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, commission, or other variable pay plan.
