Job Title: Equipment Intern
Position Type: Internship - For College Credit Hours Only
Semester or Year-Long
Location: On-Site
Overview of FC Tulsa (FCT)
FC Tulsa (FCT) is seeking an Equipment Work Experience Program Participant. As part of the evolving Technical Operations Department at FCT, we are seeking to employ an energetic and dynamic intern to assist in our goal of ensuring the club's day-to-day operations are as smooth as possible. This hands-on role works closely with players and staff, and contributes to the success of a USL Championship club.
Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Equipment Manager and Technical Director, the Equipment WEP supports the Technical Operations department by assisting with managing, organizing, and maintaining all equipment needs, both for training sessions and matchdays.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily training setup and breakdown, including field equipment, balls, cones, bibs, and goals
  • Maintain an organized inventory of all team equipment (training gear, uniforms, match balls, boots, recovery equipment, etc.).
  • Support the laundry process for team training and match gear to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
  • Assist with kit preparation for training sessions and matchdays (jerseys, shorts, socks, warm-ups, goalkeeper gear, etc.).
  • Coordinate and transport equipment as needed for home and away matches.
  • Ensure locker room, bench areas, and technical zones are prepared before matches.
  • Communicate with coaching staff, players, and front office to meet equipment needs in a timely manner.
  • Support special events, clinics, and academy needs when required.

Qualifications
  • Participants must be working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in related field and/or training and must certify that they are able to receive college credit from an accredited college or university for their participation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • A passion for soccer and interest in pursuing a career in sports operations is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation recommended.
