Job description

What if you could re-invent how millions of customers plan their shopping needs? We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive complex, cross-functional programs across the Amazon Lists portfolio. You will partner with engineering, product, design, and science teams to deliver high-impact customer experiences at scale, managing technical dependencies, timelines, and risks across multiple workstreams.. This is a high-impact role that requires someone with the bias for action, and high customer obsession to ensure we are delivering the right product for customers.
The ideal candidate is familiar with Gen AI application for their role and product development.
Key job responsibilities
**Program Execution**: Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale technical programs spanning multiple engineering teams, defining milestones, managing dependencies, and driving accountability
**Technical Strategy**: Partner with engineering leadership to define technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, and migration strategies (e.g., frontend modernization, service decomposition)
**Cross-Team Coordination**: Align dependencies with partner teams across Amazon to unblock delivery
**Risk Management**: Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks; escalate when needed with data-driven recommendations
**Operational Excellence**: Drive improvements to development processes, release mechanisms, and operational health (COE follow-ups, on-call improvements, runbook hygiene)
**Mechanisms & Communication**: Establish program reviews, status reporting, and stakeholder communication rhythms; author program narratives (OP docs, planning docs, decision documents)
**Launch Coordination**: Manage end-to-end launches including A/B testing coordination, ramp plans, and go/no-go decisions

Amazon Lists helps hundreds of millions of customers organize and share the things they love - from wish lists and gift registries to idea boards and collections. We're entering a new chapter, applying state of the art AI to re-imagine how customers curate, discover, and connect through lists.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
