About the Role

The Technical Product Compliance Manager ensures that all products meet applicable regulatory, customer, and internal technical requirements through accurate specifications, testing, and documented controls. This role owns the technical substance behind product compliance — what is required, how it is verified, and what evidence proves conformity. It works within the governance framework set by the Quality & Compliance Manager but is the authoritative voice on product-level technical compliance, testing regimes, and conformity evidence.

What You’ll Do

Product Compliance Register

  • Ensure the PCR is complete, current, traceable, and audit-ready for every product set.
  • Maintain accurate technical compliance data for all products in scope.
  • Provide a single source of truth that links products to their applicable obligations and evidence.

Technical Specifications and Requirements

  • Ensure each product has approved product specifications under formal control.
  • Define applicable regulatory requirements, standards, and customer technical requirements per product.
  • Translate external requirements into clear, verifiable technical criteria.
  • Maintain traceability from each requirement to the design feature and test that demonstrates it.

Testing Regimes and Conformity Evidence

  • Define and manage product testing regimes, including type testing, routine testing, and change-triggered re-testing.
  • Determine appropriate test methods, frequencies, sample sizes, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure verified test methods are in place and consistently applied.
  • Maintain robust evidence of conformity for every product, traceable through the PCR.
  • Manage relationships with internal laboratories and external test houses.

Engineering Interface and Change Control

  • Work with Engineering to validate technical designs against compliance requirements.
  • Assess the impact of design, material, supplier, or process changes on product compliance.
  • Trigger and oversee re-testing where changes affect conformity status.
  • Block release of changes where compliance evidence is incomplete or inadequate.

Technical Documentation Control

  • Ensure all technical compliance documentation is correct, controlled, and linked to the PCR.
  • Operate within the document control framework set by the Quality & Compliance Manager.
  • Maintain certificates, declarations of conformity, test reports, and technical files.
  • Identify gaps in testing, certification, or documentation and drive closure.

Audit, Regulatory and Customer Support

  • Provide technical input to internal audits, external audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Provide evidence to support external audits led by the Quality & Compliance Manager.
  • Respond to customer and regulator technical compliance queries.
  • Support investigations into product compliance issues, root cause, and corrective action.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, applied science, or a related technical discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in product compliance, technical assurance, design verification, or product engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant product standards (e.g. CE / UKCA marking, IEC / EN product standards, customer technical specifications applicable to the divisional product set).
  • Demonstrated experience defining and managing product testing regimes, including type tests and routine tests.
  • Strong understanding of design change control and its compliance implications.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining technical files, declarations of conformity, and test evidence.
  • Sound understanding of statistical methods relevant to product testing and conformity (sampling, capability, measurement uncertainty).
  • Confident interface with engineering, laboratories, external test houses, customers, and regulators.
  • Excellent technical writing skills — specifications, test plans, compliance reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PLM / engineering data systems, and quality / compliance tooling.

What You'll Get

  • Pay range: $80000 USD to $100000 USD. This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
  • Career Scope and Advancement: As we grow, new positions and career opportunities arise, offering accelerated paths for the right candidates, locally and globally.
