Job description

Organization Overview: The Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) is a non-profit, multi-service organization focusing primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Aging and Nutrition Services, the Data & Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and enhancing data management tools and processes for the Food and Nutrition Department (Home Delivered Meals Program) The Data & Compliance Manager will work closely with the Associate Vice President to create and monitor key performance indicators and support contract management functions. This role will audit, maintain, and update program data; execute performance management strategies; identify and address data inconsistencies; and extract and analyze departmental data as needed.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (35 hours a week)

Hourly Rate: $35/hr

Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties 

  • Maintain and refine the department performance management dashboards for all programmatic areas.
  • Manage a team of data entry clerks as needed
  • Liaise closely and meet regularly with the Associate Vice President to execute on strategic priorities, improve organizational performance, and monitor all contractual obligations from public and private funders.
  • Provide data and performance management training/technical support to team members, as needed, to execute strategic priorities.
  • Update/refine and monitor program data tracking tools to improve the quality of service
  • Monitor data entry and database performance for all platforms across departments, including but not limited to the Home Delivered Meals Program and its subcontractors.
  • Attend relevant programming and technical training to stay up to date on programming trends, best practices, and new technologies;
  • Execute on other necessary duties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Excel.
  • Knowledge of New York City and State government agency databases preferred.
  • Facility with learning new database platforms, as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple data and performance management projects simultaneously, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, particularly as needed to monitor and elevate program and administrative performance.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential organizational information with discretion.
  • Ability to work some flexible hours (e.g., evenings and weekends), as needed.
