Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. 

Job Summary

The position is responsible for various technical and administrative duties necessary to support the ETFO field organization in the maintenance, installation and corrective actions associated with Dominion's Transmission, Distribution and Generating network. Under direct supervision from Tech/Senior/Lead technician, duties to be performed include, but not limited to: Wire check relay panels and various equipment cabinets. Support current transformer and current circuit verification activities. Support basic electromechanical relay testing and substation equipment testing. Support microprocessor relay automated testing. Support control circuit operational testing. Support the creation of cable pull schedules. Create and apply wire identification tags and panel label templates. Transport dissolved gas analysis oil samples to lab for review. Review and upload infrared thermography reports. Aid/Support capturing all commissioning or maintenance related test data. Operates company vehicles as required to support duties.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

1-2 years of basic knowledge of electrical and electronic theory experience preferred. Possesses basic print reading skills. Possesses basic understanding of protection and control drawings. Possesses basic understanding of test equipment used for construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities. Possesses basic understanding of substation fundamentals and corporate safety expectations. Possesses basic understanding of departmental expectations regarding departmental computer usage. Possesses basic understanding of departmental physical and cyber security policies. Possesses basic understanding of available Human Performance tools and their functions. Possesses basic understanding of departmental software used for asset management, record keeping, and testing. Effective computer skills with software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. Due to equipment weight limits, individuals in this role have a weight restriction of 290 pounds. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must live within a reasonable travel range (1 hour) of the service territory.

Electric Transmission Field Ops Technical Assistant II: $42,300 - $54,500

Electric Transmission Field Ops Technical Assistant III: $47,300 - $75,500

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location. This is not intended to represent the full salary range for the position or limit future compensation growth.
