Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Support Technician in Pittsburgh, PA.
Summary:
We're looking for a customer-focused IT Support Technician to help maintain a stable and productive technology environment for employees across the organization. This position is responsible for resolving day-to-day technical issues, supporting end-user devices and applications, and ensuring users have the tools and access they need to perform their jobs efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Respond to technical support requests submitted through phone, email, Teams, and in-person interactions
* Manage and document incidents, service requests, and resolutions within the ticketing system
* Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware
* Provision and maintain user accounts, permissions, and system access within Active Directory and Microsoft 365
* Provide support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Azure-based environments, including connectivity and access issues
* Troubleshoot user issues involving email, software applications, and mobile devices running iOS or Android
* Deploy software updates, operating system patches, drivers, and endpoint security solutions
* Perform routine system maintenance and workstation health checks to ensure optimal performance
* Utilize vendor resources, technical documentation, and knowledge bases to research and resolve complex issues
* Track and maintain inventory records for IT assets including computers, phones, tablets, and peripheral devices
* Assist with support and testing activities related to critical business applications and system enhancements
* Create and maintain user documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides
* Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams and provide backup support for operational tasks when needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional IT support experience
* Microsoft certifications or experience supporting Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft 365 environments are preferred
* Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware, peripheral devices, and basic networking equipment
* Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications and services
* Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, end-user computing, and support best practices
* Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and common server operating systems
* Strong diagnostic and hardware troubleshooting abilities
* Familiarity with Azure-based technologies and cloud environments is a plus

* Participation in an on-call support rotation for critical system or user issues
* Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and office locations to provide on-site support
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
