Internship Overview/Summary:
FNB's IT Field Services internship provides hands-on experience supporting end-user technology across branch, corporate, and operational environments. Interns gain exposure to frontline IT support through the Tech Bar, endpoint device deployments, asset management, ticket management, and in-person customer support activities.
Working alongside experienced IT Field Services professionals, interns will help support device refresh initiatives, new hire onboarding, hardware inventory management, and walk-up technical support. The internship is designed to develop foundational technical support, customer service, documentation, and problem-solving skills while providing insight into how enterprise technology services enable employees across the organization.
This role serves as a pathway into entry-level IT support and infrastructure careers by providing practical experience with IT service management processes, endpoint technologies, asset governance, and customer-focused service delivery.
Internship Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with deployment, configuration, and setup of laptops, monitors, peripherals, and mobile devices for new hires, refresh programs, and office moves.
  • Provide first-level technical support through the Tech Bar and field support activities by assisting users with common hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Support IT asset management activities by updating inventory records, tracking equipment assignments, assisting with asset collection efforts, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Update and maintain service requests, incident tickets, deployment records, and related documentation within the IT service management platform to support operational reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with conference room and meeting technology support, including basic troubleshooting of audiovisual and collaboration tools.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, documentation updates, knowledge base maintenance, and other operational projects that enhance service delivery and user experience.
  • Participate and attend FNB related events/trainings that are scheduled for all Summer Interns

Primary Responsibilities:

Opportunities are based on assigned department, possible examples include organizational structures, business etiquette, interpersonal/conflict resolution/sales/negotiation skills, industry information, products and services and functional responsibilities for various Bank departments.
