Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and solutions-oriented IT Manager to oversee and support the companyโ€™s technology infrastructure across a growing portfolio of manufactured housing communities. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, supporting property management systems, ensuring data security, and scaling technology solutions to support company growth. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic thinking and strong vendor management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the companyโ€™s IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, hardware, and software.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to corporate and remote property management staff.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices, including cybersecurity protocols.
  • Ensure data security, backup processes, and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
  • Manage relationships with third-party IT vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Partner with the parent company IT team on shared applications, identity, and security tooling, while independently managing EPMโ€™s own Microsoft 365 tenant.
  • Lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations across the organization.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning and deprovisioning user access and equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership teams to support business needs.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, including hardware, software, and service costs.
  • Provide training and support to end users on systems and tools. Administer the IT ticketing system and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base content for both technical and end user audiences.
  • Ad-hoc projects as requested.

Skills & Quali๏ฌcations:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT management roles.
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or multi-site operations preferred.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud systems, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience supporting property management or ERP systems (Yardi preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (including Email, Teams, Teams Phone, cloud file storage, and Entra ID), endpoint management, RMM tools (NinjaOne or comparable), vulnerability management and patching, and password manager administration.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and IT service providers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives.
  • Lead and manage IT projects from initiation through closeout, including scope, budget and cost estimates, vendor proposals, timeline, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Microsoft Associate or Expert level certifications recommended. ITIL Foundation a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Minimal travel (occasional site visits as needed).
  • 2โ€“3 days on-site per week; remaining days remote.
