About Guru Technologies
Guru Technologies is a Utah-based software engineering and technology consulting firm helping organizations solve complex business challenges through custom software development, artificial intelligence, cloud engineering, data & analytics, quality engineering, DevOps, mobile applications, enterprise integrations, and digital transformation.
For over 20 years, we've partnered with organizations ranging from innovative startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Our mission is simple: build exceptional technology while creating long-term partnerships built on trust, technical excellence, and measurable business outcomes.
At Guru, you'll work alongside experienced software engineers, architects, designers, and technology leaders who are passionate about solving meaningful business challenges. We believe our people are our greatest asset and are committed to creating an environment where collaboration, continuous learning, and long-term career growth thrive.
About the Role
Guru Technologies is seeking an experienced Client Executive to develop strategic client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and expand existing accounts across our consulting practice.
This is not a transactional sales role.
You'll serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology executives, helping clients solve complex business challenges through technology consulting and custom software solutions. Working closely with Guru's engineering and delivery leadership, you'll guide opportunities from initial discovery through successful delivery while building long-term client partnerships.
Success in this role comes from understanding business problems, building executive trust, and delivering measurable value-not simply selling projects.
What You'll Do
Strategic Account Leadership
  • Develop and grow a portfolio of strategic client accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, COOs, VPs, Directors, and business leaders.
  • Develop long-term account growth strategies aligned with each client's business objectives.
  • Conduct Executive Business Reviews (QBRs) and strategic planning sessions.
  • Become the primary executive relationship owner for assigned accounts.

Business Development
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new consulting opportunities.
  • Generate pipeline through executive networking, referrals, strategic outreach, conferences, industry associations, and technology partnerships.
  • Build relationships with Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, and other strategic partners.
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, events, and account-based marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain a healthy, accurate sales pipeline within CRM.

Consulting Sales Leadership
Lead consulting engagements from discovery through contract execution, including:
  • Executive discovery meetings
  • Business and technical solution discussions
  • Opportunity qualification
  • Proposal development
  • Statement of Work (SOW) development
  • Pricing strategy
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Executive presentations
  • Contract execution

Account Growth & Client Success
Partner closely with engineering and delivery leadership to ensure successful client outcomes while identifying opportunities for long-term growth.
Help clients leverage Guru's expertise across:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Cloud Engineering & Modernization
  • Data Engineering & Analytics
  • Mobile Application Development
  • QA & Test Automation
  • DevOps & Platform Engineering
  • Enterprise System Integrations
  • Legacy Application Modernization
  • Staff Augmentation
  • Managed Engineering Teams

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Practice Leaders, Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and executive leadership.
  • Mentor junior sales professionals and contribute to sales best practices.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and strategic account planning.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline.
  • Help shape Guru's go-to-market strategy and market positioning.
  • Foster strong collaboration across Sales, Delivery, Marketing, Recruiting, and Operations.

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is measured by building lasting client relationships and creating sustainable growth.
Business Growth
  • New revenue generation
  • Existing account expansion
  • Gross margin contribution
  • Pipeline development
  • Proposal win rate
  • Forecast accuracy

  • Executive relationship strength
  • Client retention
  • Customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS)
