Job description

Sr. TeamSite Developer

Client: Southwest Airlines

Location: Remote (needs to come onsite only for 1 week in each Quarter)

Duration: 1 year contract (strong potential for extension)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in software design, development, testing and deployment of OpenText WCM applications in support of the ecommerce site and all mobile channels
  • Provide development estimates, identify cross-team/system dependencies, impacts, and integration risks
  • Develop workflows, templates and customizations for the OpenText TeamSite suite
  • Administer and configure the CMS
  • Demonstrate a high degree of initiative with a willingness and ability to learn new technical concepts
  • Field day-to-day issues and inquiries to the team
  • Proactively support users and drive continuous improvement to the CMS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field preferred
  • 5 plus years of general IT experience, emphasis on web-based technologies, web-site development, and CMS development
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
  • Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex problems
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide quality and on-time delivery
  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work occasional overtime as necessary

Required Technical experience

  • 3+ years implementing Content Management solutions utilizing the OpenText TeamSite and OpenDeploy products
  • Proficiency with web technologies, including Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Proficient in building TeamSite templates using XSLT and FormAPI and CSSDK
  • Working knowledge of OpenDeploy deployment configuration
  • Experience with file management/source control, such as SVN, GIT, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of modern web development concepts, emphasis on client-side JavaScript and web APIs (REST/JSON)
  • Fundamental object oriented application development

Preferred Technical experience

  • Experience installing OpenText TeamSite and OpenDeploy
  • Experience with responsive applications
  • UI libraries/frameworks: JQuery, Dojo, YUI, etc.
  • Understanding of and experience using, managing, debugging, and maintaining web APIs (REST/JSON)
  • Experience with schema-less JSON repositories
  • Experience with Elasticsearch: querying, administering, monitoring, and maintaining
