Responsibilities
  • Performs technical tax review and governmental tax examinations as deemed by Manager and Senior Managerย 
  • Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filingsย 
  • Acts Acting as a resource for tax associates and Business Assurance team members on specific tax issues and/or questionsย 
  • Ensuring all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable lawsย 
  • Possess a complete knowledge of the firmโ€™s philosophy and its opinions on tax mattersย 
  • Communicate Communicating effectively with clients and meets meeting critical deadlinesย 
  • Participates Participating actively in client meetings and tax planning effortsย 
  • Assists the Business Assurance (Audit) Department with larger clients when deemed necessaryย 
Requirements
  • 2 โ€“ 4 yearsโ€™ experience preparing corporate, partnership, and individual, and fiduciary income tax returns in a public accounting firmย 
  • Minimum one (1) year experience supervising and directing work of tax preparersย 
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required, with a masterโ€™s degree in taxation preferredย 
  • Current CPA license highly preferredย 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite productsย 
  • Proficency with CCH ProSystem fx Tax or other tax automation / workflow software is a plus preferredย 
  • Client service orientedย
