The Opportunity

MGO is seeking a motivated Tax Senior Associate to join our Irvine-based tax team. This hybrid role is ideal for a tax professional with solid public accounting experience who wants exposure to complex work, collaborative teams, and meaningful career growth. You will support a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses, while developing advanced technical and advisory skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals (HNW), corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates
  • Perform tax research and provide technical guidance on a variety of tax matters
  • Assist with tax planning and advisory services
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Identify and communicate proactive tax planning opportunities
  • Build strong client relationships through excellent service
  • Mentor and support the development of junior staff
  • Stay current on tax law changes and firm methodologies
Qualifications
  • CPA preferred or actively pursuing certification
