Job description

Description:

We are seeking a warm, confident, and detail-oriented Server (Tasting Room Associate) to join our team at Pali Wine Co. This is a Seasonal, part-time position running from June through September, offering approximately 18–25 hours per week, primarily scheduled Thursday through Sunday. Weekend availability is required.

This position is central to delivering a curated guest experience, guiding tastings, educating guests about our organically farmed estate vineyard and winemaking approach, and helping build lasting relationships through wine club engagement.

Servers (Tasting Room Associates) are expected to embody Pali’s brand values: vineyard-driven, intentional, welcoming. Never snobby or scripted. Our goal is not just to serve wine, but to share our story and connect guests to our land, our craft, and our community.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver outstanding hospitality rooted in knowledge, care, and precision
  • Guide guests through tasting flights
  • Accurately communicate the stories behind our wines, vineyards, and winemaking practices
  • Ask every guest if they are a wine club member and apply benefits accordingly
  • Introduce and promote wine club membership to all guests in a welcoming, on-brand manner
  • Sell wine by the glass, bottle, and growler with enthusiasm and integrity
  • Support team sales goals for wine and club performance; consistently hit wine club quota
  • Handle POS transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with setup and execution of events, including in-house and wine club experiences
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room at all times, including restrooms
  • Take initiative and contribute to the flow of daily operations
  • Follow all service procedures and policies with consistency and professionalism

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Proven appreciation for wine and vineyard-driven winemaking
  • Foundational wine knowledge required — familiarity with grape varieties, tasting, and regional distinctions
  • Passion for storytelling, farming, and guest connection
  • Prior sales or hospitality experience preferred, especially in wine-focused settings
  • Availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays (weekend availability required)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (a case of wine)
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
  • Part-time, seasonal employment (June–September, 18–25 hours per week)
