Job description

Do you have experience working as a server or busser in a busy restaurant, as a barista, general food service or hospitality, or in a winery Tasting Room. We will train the rest. Trump Winery is seeking a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic Tasting Room Associate.

You will be responsible for providing the front-line guest experience by developing relationships that promote sales and brand loyalty. This position is the champion of customer service in creating the perfect balance of education and good times for our guests. Title: Tasting Room Associate - Part Time, non-exempt, less than 30 hours per week Location: Grand Hall Tasting Room - 20 minutes south of Downtown Charlottesville, 20 minutes north of Scottsville Hours: Daytime Hours, no late evenings - Between 10:30 am and 6:00 pm.

weekdays are required ( Wednesdays - Mondays) , and some wekeends/ holidays as needed. Essential Duties: Greeting and educating guests on wine, the wine industry, and Charlottesville tourism Serve wine and food to guests Promote profitable sales of Trump wine, Wine Club, merchandise and events Ability to respond intelligently to guest questions regarding Trump Winery, winemaking, and Albemarle Estate Execution of opening and closing duties Clean, organize, and stock the Tasting Room, restrooms, and kitchen Process payment transactions on POS system Work in a team environment as well as independently Attend scheduled ongoing training Assist guests in carrying out purchases Perform daily cleaning of tasting Room, restroom, patio, kitchen, office, and parking lot Other duties as assigned to ensure the business runs efficiently Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older Exemplary customer service skills Ability to interact with guests with all levels of wine knowledge Must have an interest in learning about wine Flexible availability to include weekends and holidays Can handle multiple tasks at one time Communicates professionally in person and on the phone Is passionate about selling food and wine Ability to anticipate guests' needs and respond appropriately Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently Ability to stand for extended periods Pre-employment background check required Trump Winery and Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
