Job description


BESTAFF is hiring a Tally Clerk in the Jeffersonville area. The Tally Clerk is responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and recording corrugated products throughout the production and shipping process. This role ensures product quantities, quality, and documentation align with customer orders and company standards. The Tally Clerk works closely with production, quality, and shipping teams to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately count and verify finished products, bundles, and pallets during production and shipping
  • Record counts, lot numbers, and job information on tally sheets or electronic systems
  • Verify product specifications, including size, style, and customer requirements
  • Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials
  • Communicate with machine operators, supervisors, and shipping personnel regarding count or quality issues
  • Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
  • Assist with other production or warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or quality inspection experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Ability to read job tickets, work orders, and production paperwork
