The Role:
Reporting into the Delivery Lead, this role will be responsible for defining business requirements and processes, defining user acceptance criteria, product and process improvement, documentation, UAT facilitation, conducting demos, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities:
Process Assessment, Modelling & Requirements Gathering
  • Identify, analyze and document business processes, technical functions and user stories (requirements) to enhance business systems using best practice methodology and industry recognized processes, practices and systems, assisting others to decide on best approach
  • Analyze current services and processes, analyze and respond to customer feedback and insights and identify and implement opportunities to optimize these and contribute to ongoing improvements to products and service delivery
  • Work with subject matter experts and project team members to define, document and communicate technology project requirements and associated documentation
  • Develop fit for purpose end to end business requirements
  • Conduct walkthroughs of the requirements with stakeholders to obtain validation and approvals

Compliance & Product/Process Improvement
  • Understand and prioritize customer requirements aligned to compliance and business needs (product rules, legislative requirements, and process re-engineering opportunities)
  • Investigate problems, analyze options and provide recommendations for new and existing services, new initiatives, strategies and products to improve compliance, effectiveness and address risks
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and feedback with respect to problem resolution

Relationship Management
  • Build and manage strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure successful, timely delivery

Testing Support
  • Assists the business with the development of user acceptance testing and verification of issues
  • Assists with test environment setup, test scenario data preparation, and test execution support
  • Provision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner

Essential Skills/Proficiencies/Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to tailor communication style to the audience - from concise executive summaries to detailed process walkthroughs for operational staff to technical detail for developers and QA
  • Significant experience in requirements elicitation and development and prioritization of business requirements
  • Experience in software development and compliance projects, and implementing associated changes
  • Extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, Business Analysis practices, and Business Process Modelling
  • Broad knowledge of documentation standards
  • Significant stakeholder management experience with internal and external customers
  • A highly effective and collaborative team worker
  • Experience mentoring other BAs and agile team delivery members
  • University degree in Business, Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent industry related experience preferable
  • Ability to read and interpret SQL queries and understand underlying data structures, to validate requirements and test assumptions during design and delivery
  • Ability to quantity recommendations with cost-benefit or risk-adjusted impact analysis to support decision making
  • Comfortable operating in a high-ambiguity, fast-changing environment where priorities can shift quickly based on customer and business needs
  • Ability to actively participate in and synthesize outcomes from large, multi-stakeholder discussions (15-20+ participants across varying technical backgrounds) into clear, actionable next steps

Desirable Skills/Proficiencies/Qualifications:
  • An understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience applying prioritization frameworks (e.g. MoSCoW, WSJF, cost-of-delay) to make and defend backlog prioritization decisions
  • Hands-on AI experience with requirements generation and automation, data and process modelling, data synthesis and storytelling, and meeting and transcription synthesis
