Job description

About CallOnDoc

CallOnDoc is one of the fastest-growing virtual healthcare companies in the U.S., delivering affordable, on-demand care across urgent care, chronic care, mental health, men's and women's health, dermatology, and preventive medicine. As we continue expanding our consumer platform, AI capabilities, pharmacy services, and enterprise partnerships, we're looking for a strategic builder to establish a unified communication system across every patient touchpoint.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional content marketing or copywriting role. We're seeking a senior individual contributor who enjoys building systems while remaining deeply hands-on. You'll partner across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, Design, and Executive Leadership to ensure every patient interaction communicates with clarity, consistency, and trust. Approximately 30% of the role focuses on strategy and system design, while 70% is hands-on execution—writing, editing, auditing, and improving high-impact customer communications.

What You'll Own

Communication Strategy & Editorial Systems

Build and maintain the company's messaging architecture, including brand narrative, value proposition, positioning, trust messaging, editorial standards, voice and tone, AI writing standards, review processes, content governance, and AI-assisted content workflows.

Content Optimization

Personally improve high-impact customer-facing content including landing pages, website copy, patient onboarding, lifecycle emails, SMS, push notifications, provider and patient education, product messaging, and YouTube/social media scripts.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, Lifecycle Marketing, Paid Media, SEO, Design, and Customer Success. Support AI search readiness through structured content, entity optimization, semantic content, and AI-friendly editorial practices.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you will build a unified messaging and editorial framework, improve consistency across patient communications, modernize high-value content that drives acquisition, conversion, retention and trust, implement scalable AI-assisted editorial workflows, and establish a communication operating system supporting future product launches and lifecycle initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• 7+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, product marketing, UX writing, or strategic communications.

• Exceptional writing and editing skills across digital channels.

• Experience developing messaging frameworks, editorial standards, and communication systems—not just producing content.

• Strong cross-functional experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams.

• Strong understanding of information architecture, content audits, and customer journey optimization.

• Experience incorporating AI-assisted writing tools into editorial workflows while maintaining quality and governance.

Preferred

• Experience in healthcare, digital health, health technology, or other regulated industries.

• Experience supporting product launches, lifecycle communications, or regulated customer communications.

• Familiarity with SEO strategy, AI search optimization, structured content, schema concepts,

semantic search, and knowledge graph principles.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $130,000–$145,000 annually, commensurate with experience and market.

Benefits: Eligible for CallOnDoc's standard full-time employee benefits package and participation

in the company's annual performance incentive program.

Why This Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from the ground up. You'll define how CallOnDoc communicates across every stage of the patient journey, creating the editorial foundation that supports our marketing, product, clinical, and AI initiatives for years to come.
