Job description

Position Summary

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently. This position plays a vital role in maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and organization while supporting the kitchen team in delivering exceptional meals to guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, peeling, and measuring according to recipes and kitchen standards.
  • Label, date, and properly store food items following food safety guidelines.
  • Assist line cooks with food preparation before and during service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep station throughout each shift.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, mixers, food processors, and knives.
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Support the kitchen team with additional duties as assigned.
