Job description

The Director of Talent Acquisition provides strategic leadership for all talent acquisition activities, developing and executing recruiting strategies that support organizational growth, workforce planning, and business objectives. This role oversees recruitment operations, employer branding, candidate experience, sourcing, selection processes, and talent acquisition technology and analytics to attract and hire top talent. Working closely with leadership and HR partners, the Director leads the talent acquisition team while ensuring recruiting performance, compliance, budget accountability, and continuous improvement.

This hybrid opportunity requires employees to work onsite three days each week from either our North Liberty Financial Center or our Clive location.

Salary range for this position is $159,822.78 - $186,851.34 with a progressive benefit package. 


Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.

  2. Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  3. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  4. Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  5. Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  6. Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational objectives, workforce plans, and growth initiatives.
    • Partner with executive and business leaders to identify workforce needs, assess labor market trends, and develop talent acquisition solutions that support organizational success.
    • Establish talent acquisition goals, metrics, policies, and programs to drive recruiting effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  7. Talent Acquisition Operations
    • Direct all aspects of the organization's talent acquisition function, ensuring effective recruitment, selection, and onboarding support processes across all workforce segments.
    • Lead the evaluation and enhancement of recruiting processes, technology, and service delivery to improve operational performance and candidate experience.
    • Oversee recruitment vendor relationships, contracts, and related expenditures.
  8. Leadership and Team Development
    • Lead, develop, and support Talent Acquisition team members through effective coaching, performance management, succession planning, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with Human Resources and organizational leaders to align talent acquisition practices with broader workforce, diversity, and employee experience strategies.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with external workforce, education, professional, and community partners.
  9. Governance, Analytics & Financial Stewardship
    • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, policies, and recruiting standards.
    • Monitor recruiting performance through workforce analytics and key performance indicators, providing recommendations and reporting to senior leadership.
    • Develop and manage the talent acquisition budget and resources to support organizational goals.

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of progressive talent acquisition, recruiting, or human resources experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
  3. Demonstrated experience developing and executing talent acquisition strategies, workforce planning initiatives, and recruitment process improvements.
  4. Experience leading recruitment teams and managing organizational recruiting operations, budgets, and external vendor relationships.
  5. Strong knowledge of talent acquisition principles, workforce planning, employment laws, and recruitment technologies.
  6. Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with executive leaders and key stakeholders.
  7. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive business outcomes.
  8. Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills.

This position reports to the VP Human Resources.
This position is responsible for the supervision of others.
