Talent Acquisition Specialist (Part-Time)ย 
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)ย 
Location: Primarily Remote (Periodic onsite meetings and store visits as needed)ย 
Schedule: Approximately 20โ€“25 hours per week, with the opportunity to expand as the company grows.ย 

Position Summary:
Captain Jay's is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Partner to lead our leadership recruitment efforts while helping build the foundation of a scalable talent acquisition and people infrastructure.ย 

This is more than a recruiting position. It is an opportunity to help build the people systems that will support the company's long-term growth and operational excellence.ย 

Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership Recruitment:
  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for leadership positions, including Shift Managers, General Managers, District Managers, corporate support roles, and future executive-level positions.ย 
  • Source qualified candidates using Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, networking, referrals, and other recruiting channels.ย 
  • Conduct initial phone and virtual interviews.ย 
  • Assess candidates for leadership capability, professionalism, communication skills, and cultural fit.ย 
  • Coordinate Discovery Days, interviews, and hiring activities with District Managers and executive leadership.ย 
  • Conduct professional reference checks.ย 
  • Coordinate background screening.ย 
  • Prepare and coordinate employment offers.ย 
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to provide an exceptional candidate experience.ย 
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline of leadership candidates for current and future openings.ย 

Recruiting Operations:
  • Develop standardized recruiting processes and documentation.ย 
  • Create interview guides and candidate evaluation tools.ย 
  • Maintain recruiting databases and candidate records.ย 
  • Develop hiring scorecards and recruiting dashboards.ย 
  • Standardize candidate communications throughout the hiring process.ย 
  • Ensure recruiting activities are organized, timely, and professionally executed.ย 

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, Human Resources, or related experience.ย 
  • Demonstrated success recruiting leadership or professional-level positions.ย 
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.ย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.ย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.ย 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.ย 

Preferred:
  • Experience recruiting for multi-unit operations, retail, restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, or similar industries.ย 
  • HR Business Partner experience.ย 
  • Experience developing HR policies and procedures.ย 
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or similar recruiting databases.ย 
  • Experience supporting compensation, talent management, or succession planning initiatives.ย
