Role: Integration & Test Systems Engineer (Aerospace/Defense) Duration: 12 Months (Contract) Location: San Diego, CA (On-Site) Work shift: 8:00AM-5:00PM (9x80 A) Secret clearance: Required

Key Skills: Systems Integration & Testing (Integration & Test, System Verification, Validation); Hardware & Software Troubleshooting (Debugging, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Resolution); Design Verification & Qualification Testing (DVT, Environmental Testing, EMI/EMC Testing); Systems Engineering (Requirements Verification, Systems Thinking, Technical Documentation); Requirements Management (IBM DOORS) (Requirements Traceability, Verification Cross-Reference Matrix); Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (Cameo Systems Modeler, SysML, Model-Based Engineering); Programming & Scripting (MATLAB, Python, C, C++, Java)

Positionsummary:
  • As anIntegration and Test Systems Engineeryou will support programs within our Connectivity and Network Solutions (CNS) Business Unit (BU).
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain processes and procedures for the assembly and test of spacecraft, aircraft and/or related equipment.
  • Coordinate integration activities with supervisors, program engineers and various customer organizations.
  • Document and disposition hardware discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions.
  • Design and develop tooling to aid in the integration and test process.
Basic qualifications:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem solving skills and Systems Thinking mindset
  • Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment
  • Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction
  • Advanced troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret clearance with additional customer specified clearance prior to start.
Required education & experience:
  • 5 years with a Bachelor’s in Science OR 3 years with Master’s OR 1 year with PhD.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in an integration and test environment for complex electronic systems evaluation
  • Experience performing Design Verification Tests, Environmental Qualification Testing, and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Qualification Testing
  • Working knowledge of DOORS and Verification Cross Reference Matrices
  • Working knowledge of the following specialty areas: EOIR systems, sensors, optics
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) concepts and tools (Cameo)
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, C, C++, Java, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance
  • Ability and willingness to travel
