As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an organized, proactive, and customer-focused Project Coordinator to help keep projects on schedule, customers informed, and our installation teams equipped for success.
Position Overview

IQ Automation is seeking a highly organized Project Coordinator to support residential and commercial AV, smart home, and low-voltage projects from kickoff through final completion. This position is responsible for coordinating project schedules, communicating with customers and builders, tracking project progress, and ensuring each project stays organized throughout every phase.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, communicates professionally, and takes ownership of keeping projects moving forward while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Position Responsibilities

Project Scheduling & Coordination

  • Coordinate project schedules from pre-wire through final completion.
  • Communicate with customers, builders, contractors, and internal team members to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Track project milestones and deadlines.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts or potential delays and help coordinate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate project schedules, task lists, and documentation.
Project Tracking & Budget Support

  • Monitor project progress and labor hours against estimated budgets.
  • Assist with coordinating project changes and change orders.
  • Help identify project issues early and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
  • Support efficient scheduling and resource planning.
Customer Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout their project.
  • Provide regular project updates and follow-up communications.
  • Coordinate scheduling with customers, builders, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer communications and project notes.
Project Closeout

  • Help ensure projects are completed with minimal outstanding punch-list items.
  • Coordinate final walkthrough scheduling and customer orientation.
  • Verify project documentation, product information, programming backups, and customer training materials are complete.
  • Track outstanding items until final completion.
Administrative & Organizational Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized project files and records.
  • Utilize scheduling software and calendar systems to manage project activities.
  • Participate in project planning and internal coordination meetings.
  • Assist in improving project workflows and customer experience processes.
Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in AV, smart home, low-voltage, electrical, construction, or project coordination.
  • Understanding of residential and commercial construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating schedules, customers, vendors, or subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with project management software or scheduling tools is a plus.
