Job description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join an insurance organization in Middleton, Wisconsin in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent role. This role is ideal for a hands-on individual who can translate technical concepts into practical plans, lead daily infrastructure initiatives, and improve the efficiency of enterprise systems. The position focuses on endpoint management, policy administration, and platform support across a Microsoft-based environment while helping strengthen operational consistency and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day engineering efforts across Windows-based infrastructure and endpoint management platforms in support of business and IT objectives.
• Develop and maintain Group Policy configurations to improve security, standardization, and system performance across the environment.
• Administer and support tools such as Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Citrix, and Microsoft Exchange.
• Convert high-level technical ideas into organized action plans, implementation steps, and measurable deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, refine system configurations, and enhance operational efficiency through process optimization.
• Manage configuration settings and support configuration management practices to maintain reliable and consistent IT environments.
• Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot complex system issues and deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions.
• Contribute to ongoing engineering projects with a strong focus on execution, documentation, and service quality.• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure support within a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Windows Server administration.
