V2X is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting development and integration of advanced software/firmware/hardware systems including store control electronics, mission computers, avionics, sensors, certification and mission equipment for airborne and ground platforms.  As a Systems Engineer, you will work within a team of talented and experienced engineers performing Systems Engineering activities that include design, development or test at the system, subsystem, and component levels. 

In this role, you'll contribute to requirements management, system architecture, test procedure development, and test execution, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet mission-critical needs. You will collaborate within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate embraces modern development processes to enhance both product quality and team productivity. Required Skills:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering
  • Familiarity with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification
  • Exposure to development, integration, and testing of systems for air, sea, and/or ground platforms.
  • Experience with test execution, including assisting in test plan and procedure development.
  • Ability to support Trade Studies and analyze technical data under guidance.
  • Understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts with a willingness to apply them in problem-solving.
  • Ability to collaborate within multi-discipline teams and contribute technical insights.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability, able to manage tasks and deliver quality work on schedule.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite of tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
