JOB SUMMARY

This position will primarily focus on AI development and tooling, with an emphasis on designing, developing, integrating, and supporting LLM-based solutions.

The mandate of Information Technology Services is to create business value by providing innovative and strategic technology solutions for the business operations of the City of Ottawa.
You are responsible for: developing/customizing/enhancing and/or integrating a broad range of smaller-scale (or components of larger-scale) business applications/solutions for an assigned client portfolio or project, in response to new or changing business requirements; maintaining business applications/solutions (or components thereof); and providing client and technical support.


You are responsible for: researching, architecting, designing, developing, customizing, enhancing and/or integrating large-scale applications/solutions for assigned clients in response to new or changing business requirements and/or for assigned projects; maintaining these applications/solutions; and providing client technical support in one or more technical competency areas, such as:

Automation/Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML)
Business Automation tools
Software Development

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 3 year university degree or college diploma in information management, information technology, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of progressively more responsible experience in applications development and/or integration.

Microsoft ASP .Net version 2003, 2005 Web or higher versions and .Net Framework 1.1 and higher is desirable

VB and C# .Net programming languages is desirable

Oracle RDBMS 9i and higher is desirable

Oracle Internet Developer Suite is desirable

Oracle Application Server Technologies is desirable

Oracle SOA Suite is desirable

PL/SQL for creation of procedures and packages is desirable

XML is desirable

Development using Microsoft Office Suite tools is desirable
