Job description

The Low Latency Platform and Realtime Technology teams build and maintain the core infrastructure that powers GTS’s electronic trading systems. Our software is responsible for the reliable movement, processing, and distribution of market data and trading events across a globally distributed, high-performance environment where latency, throughput, and resiliency are critical.

As an Development Manager, your primary responsibility is enabling engineers and teams to operate effectively. You will partner closely with senior developers and system owners to ensure work is prioritized appropriately, execution remains predictable, and developers have the support they need to succeed. This role is focused on people leadership, delivery coordination, hiring, and organizational effectiveness rather than direct ownership of architecture or technical direction.

The ideal candidate has a strong development background and is capable of understanding complex technical systems, but measures success through team outcomes rather than individual technical contributions. You should enjoy building high-performing teams, helping engineers grow in their careers, removing organizational friction, and creating an environment where engineers can focus on solving difficult problems.
