Job description

Mercantile Bank is looking to hire a System Integration Analyst who is detail oriented, analytical, solution-oriented, and has good communication skills. This position would be out of our Wyoming, MI office and would allow for a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days work from home and 2-3 days in the office after the initial training period.
Why Mercantile Bank?
Mercantile Bank was founded by entrepreneurs who believed building strong relationships and communities is accomplished through collaboration and innovation. It's more than being a financial institution, it's being a trusted ally and community partner. As Michigan's largest community bank, our roots are deeply embedded in the diverse communities we serve. Our commitment to our customers and community is at the core of all we do.
As an employee of Mercantile Bank, you will receive competitive compensation, bonus opportunities, and best-in-class benefit options. With a minimum of 3 weeks' vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays, generous 401k match of 5%, company paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, IVF and adoption assistance, zero-interest loans for fitness equipment and business attire, discounted bank services, employee stock purchase plan, 529 savings plans, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, legal protection, exceptional training and development opportunities, and encouragement to connect with community through volunteer opportunities.
A Look into Your Day
Daily Workflow Snapshot
You start the day by reviewing alerts, dashboards, and overnight run logs to verify scheduled transfers and ETL activity completed cleanly. You then validate a few key data points against expected results-paying close attention to anything that could affect downstream reporting or customer-facing channels-and open follow-ups for items that fall outside established tolerances.
Midday typically includes touchpoints with internal teams and vendor partners to confirm how a new or adjusted integration should behave in production. You translate those conversations into clear requirements, outline dependencies, and align on a realistic delivery timeline.
As work progresses, you assess test results, refine configuration notes, and keep design/support documentation current, including evidence needed for audit and change control. When an incident arises, you shift quickly into triage: communicate status, document what you find, and coordinate a controlled recovery and verification. Throughout the day, you balance focused build time with responsive collaboration in a work-from-home flexible environment.
What We're Looking For
The System Integration Analyst supports reliable, secure data exchange between key banking platforms. In this mid-level position, you will help build, maintain, and optimize integrations across Jack Henry environments (core banking, digital banking, digital onboarding, loan origination, CRM) and other enterprise systems-enabling efficient operations and a consistent customer experience.
You will analyze business and technical integration needs, translate them into clear requirements, and deliver well-documented solutions. Work includes designing, configuring, developing, testing, and supporting integrations using approved tools and methods such as APIs, ETL, file transfers, MoveIT, middleware, and scripts. You will write and troubleshoot scripts for data transformation/validation, monitor integration jobs and transfers, investigate production incidents with root-cause analysis, and coordinate timely resolution. You will also maintain detailed artifacts (data mappings, specs, workflows, testing evidence, support procedures, and change logs) and assess integration impacts during upgrades, releases, and new implementations while meeting security, data integrity, access control, and regulatory expectations.
Required knowledge and skills:
- 3-5 years of experience
- Deep experience with system integrations technologies including core banking specific solutions and Mulesoft
- Strong working knowledge of software such as Microsoft 365
- Strong working knowledge of online & mobile banking applications
- General software troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of bank operations and workflows
- Strong follow-up and follow-through
- Ability to Make Decisions Considering all Stakeholders
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
- Adaptable to an Internally and Externally Changing Environment
- Operational with a Proven Ability to Develop Procedures
- Time Management with a Proven Ability to Meet Deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience with cold storage systems
- Previous Digital Banking or Technical Support Experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Opportunity to have a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days working from home after the initial training period.
