Job description

OVERVIEW

The HRIS Assistant assists the HRIS team with daily activities and administrative support by maintaining and updating the various HR databases, including PeopleSoft and viDesktop as well as running and preparing various reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enters legal and administrative data in PeopleSoft such as hiring new employees, terminations, creating job codes, and maintenance of employee personal and job information, client matters and assignments, etc;
  • Validates all legal hiring information from ICIMS to PeopleSoft;
  • Ensures alumni information is current in PeopleSoft by checking InterAction tickets and the Alumni Center;
  • Assists in preparing compensation and review packets for all review cycles;
  • Assists with preparing surveys and annual review processes;
  • Runs basic ad hoc reports from PeopleSoft and viDesktop;
  • Reviews and assists with creating and distributing weekly, monthly and quarterly scheduled reports from PeopleSoft;
  • Communicates with and directs employees and managers to appropriate Human Resources personnel to handle specific questions or employee issues;
  • Responsible for answering phones for the HRIS team as well as for other Human Resources employees;
  • Provides back-up to the other HRIS team members when needed;
  • Assists HRIS team with administrative tasks, as requested;
  • Assists in general HR projects as required; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required; College degree preferred;
  • 1+ years of administrative experience in a corporate environment is a plus;
  • Basic understanding of law firm/corporate environment as well as HR;
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading, communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time;
  • Capable of solving problems and meeting strict deadlines;
  • Deals discreetly with confidential information; and
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $62,000 to $68,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and discretionary bonus(es), we offer a generous employee benefits package including, but not limited to, paid time off, medical, dental, vision care, 401(k) and substantial health club discounts.
