Senior System Admin

A leading provider of IT Managed Services in New York City/ Northern New Jersey is looking for a Systems Admin to provide service to its clients in the NYC metro area. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with a proven track record to develop, implement, and support various initiatives in the area of Systems Administration. Because of the very wide breadth of systems that will be configured, supported and maintained, the ideal candidate must have a wide knowledge base including, end user support, small business networking, active directory and server technologies used by small business.

Location: Rochelle Park, NJ

Duration: Fulltime

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Windows System Administration
  • At least 5 years of experience in Network Administration
  • At least 3 years of experience managing Office 365
  • At least 2 years of experience managing Azure
  • Experience with virtual technologies such as VMware ESX, or Hyper-V
  • Strong understanding of base concepts and protocols such as TCP, NAT, ARP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VLAN, VPN
  • Ability to perform end-to-end troubleshooting of issues, where the problem may lie in the storage, server, network or anywhere in between
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
  • Ability to quickly find solutions to unfamiliar problems (research skills).
  • Ability to follow change controls and security procedures.
  • Ability to research and learn new concepts and apply them to future projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience configuring and managing switches and firewalls
