Job description

General Summary
The Sr. Designer, Sweatersis responsible for sweater styles from initial concept through final production. This position supports the Wholesale Apparel business.
The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage creative development of sweaters from the beginning of proto development to factory comments and fitting in production level
  • Research markets, shop retail, and interact with consumer to establish trends
  • Source and choose yarns and knitting stitch designs for samples
  • Create development tech-packs including technical flat sketches, specs, stitches, patterns, and construction details
  • Present sample as envisioned
  • Create CAD sketches and stitch/pattern artwork
  • Communicate with overseas venders and internal teams on product developments
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • College degree in the fashion design preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in sweater industry
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of target market

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $110,000 Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
